I do have a comment on Brian’s thought that one day computers can do algorithmic based Idea generation. Maybe I’m still in that stage where I’m claiming a robot can never do MY job. But I feel like we are a very long way away from computers or AI being able too create and appreciate art art in any form. Sure, there are robots that can paint by using vectors and inputs, and it’s possible for AIs to recognize things like “beautiful” faces by proportion, or use algorithms to mad-lib together movie plots.

But I think we are VERY far away from computers being able to have any INDEPENDENT emotional or artistic understanding of even the vast majority of human made content, let alone having the ability to create their own content from scratch, and it being good. (Although, to be fair, for every bit of human content that is good, there is easily 10x the amount of bad content. And sooner or later the laws of probability come into effect, despite the source.)
