A mysterious ripple on Lake Washington has locals scratching their heads. I love how the reporter throws NOAA under the bus at the end.

    Obviously NOAA is building a Lovecraftian-styled monster that will devour humanity and make our world a breeding-ground for inhuman monstrosities that yearn to spread their limitless chaos and terrifying desires for death and destruction out to the stars. The only rational course of action is to set fire to the lake. Or maybe write a stern email to your congressman.
