Okay, Don’t Look Now But An Asteroid Might Kill All Of Us in 2040

Seriously guys. Don’t panic.

The space rock, which is called 2011 AG5, is about 460 feet (140 meters) wide. It may come close enough to Earth in 2040 that some researchers are calling for a discussion about how to deflect it.

Time to talk to some oil drillers who don’t want to pay taxes again… ever.

    I can’t believe that every time a giant rock from space comes anywhere near us we panic and start planning how we can blow it up. 

    Let’s see what’s in it. 

    I’m saying that these could be, depending on where the rocks originate,  great opportunities to mine the asteroid belts without even having to go there. If there’s nothing of value in them we should probably shove them into the sun or something.
