The Loneliest Bigfoot Hunter In America

Along with the islands of Hawaii, Rhode Island is the only American state to never officially recorded a Bigfoot sighting. Ever.
Ken DeCosta , founder and director of Rhode Island Society for the Examination of Unusual Phenomena, chalks it up to geography. Non-existant are the dense forests of Pennsylvania or Oregon that seem to breed sightings. If you’re looking for the King of Cryptids in the Biggest Little State in the Union, you might want to get comfortable.
“Catch up on some of your reading,” adds DeCosta.
But past experiences don’t alway portend future results, which is why Ken is excited about a new lead. A story from a middle-aged housewife that could very well break Rhode Island’s streak of futility. DeCosta recalls speaking with the woman, who was reluctant to tell her tale to even her husband for fear she’d look crazy.
In September of 2003, the then 44-year-old mother of two drove up Tower Hill Road when a bipedal, hairy, 6-foot beast walked in front of her car. After locking eyes with the creature and getting a good look at it’s ape-like facial features, the massive beast slammed it’s hands into the hood of her vehicle, leaving a few dents.
So this summer, DeCosta and his gang are going to head out to Tower Hill Road and stake out the scene. It most likely will be fruitless so RISE UP also plans to investigate a few other Tower Hill phenomenon including phantom hitchhikers and an intensely creepy specter of a dead little boy’s bicycle reported by passing motorists.
But maybe, just maybe, that woman was right. And maybe, just maybe, Ken and his team can catch a glimpse.

Mr, DeCosta, thank you for posting this article. I am very much interested in this woman;s account of Tower Hill Rd and her encounters with a Bigfoot-like cryptid plus the ghost of a little boy, since my girlfriend Dina Palazini has experienced both phenomena along this narrow, winding stretch of road in Cumberland, RI! This past summer, late August, Dina showed me the spot where she and 3 friends had witnessed the creature 22 years before. We found unmistakebale, oversized, human-like tracks impressed in the hard soil along the path! I photographed these. Will you be returning to explore the region sometime in 2010? Dear Mr. Ken DeCosta ~
Thank you for posting this article describing a Rhode Island Bigfoot sighting. I am very much interested in this wonam's account of her uncanny experience on the narrow, winding stretch of road in Cumberland, RI, plus mention of the repeated apparition of a little boy riding a bicycle. You see, my girlfriend and co-investigator, Dina Palazini, has in fact beheld both phenomena along Tower Hill Road!
Twice in late August this year, Dina showed me the precise spot where she and 3 of her friends encountered this kind of humanoid creature 22 years previous. She reports having smelled the biped animal moments before seeing it. Both times when there, we discovered unmistakeable, oversized, human-like footprints depressed into the hard soil, continuing for approximately 6 yards up the ensuing path! I photographed these but did not cast plaster impressions. I have another, credible eyewitness description of a close-up “Sasquatch” sighting in Rhode Island, this one having been seen in full daylight and it as well can be cooberated by another.
Will you and your team be returning in 2010 to further explore Tower Hill Road and the Tower Hill Road region? If you recently have done so, please tell me, what were your findings?

I'd love to see and know the spot where your girlfriend saw the creature. My wife and I just drove it hoping to see something but came up empty… I plan on going back soon.

Dina is full of crap ! Shes not physcic and did not see bigfoot shes just to get attention any way she can. Maybe she should come see her children its only been two years . And maybe pay child support . Thats only been five years. Maybe she should get off her lazy ass and get a job instead of raping the system like shes been doin for the pasttwenty years.
