Travel conspires to keep the boys apart for one more week. HOWEVER, we did scramble together this minisode featuring Brian, Justin and “OMG” Chad Johnson, who loyal listeners might remember from our Halloween Haunted Hotel episode a few years back. We discuss the recently landed Mars Curiosity Rover, Chad gamely tries on the big shoes of Mayne and attempts a creepy scenario and everything devolves into a shouting match when the idea of a one-way trip to Mars is remembered.

I think Brushwood is right about going to Mars is a one way ticket (or one could say just about being a permanent trip) if using current chemical rocket propulsion. Maybe people have seen the great YouTube about how Mars is hard. It is done by Stan G. Love, a NASA engineer and astronaut.
It is 45 minutes long. Just the weight of liquid oxygen, water and groceries that have to be brought along for the trip is a sizable number. Then add in the planetary motion. All this makes it expensive right now unless some new propulsion techniques become viable.
